What do we do?
We work hard to offer opportunities for youth to enrich their lives and help them reach their full potential. While the Club is a safe, positive place for kids, we also diligently coordinate our activities and programs to foster academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles, the three outcomes we believe will truly give kids the best chance at being responsible, productive, and caring members of our community.
At The Boys & Girls Club, we use a data-driven model to improve the lives of the youth we serve. Research shows that kids and teens who attend at least once per week and have an optimal Club experience are more likely to have positive self-esteem, be more engaged in learning, and serve their communities. Our Youth Development Professionals and Coordinators provide them with safe spaces, impactful programs, resources to help them achieve their goals, and opportunities that they would not have outside of The Boys & Girls Club.
The kids come to the Club and engage in activities that will truly make a difference in their lives. They become life-long learners, receive social-emotional learning skills, engage in all aspects of wellness, and serve the community they live in daily. While these moments are a normal part of the Club experience, the best part is the mentorship from the staff that help facilitate the joy that motivates these activities and our mission. Every kid deserves joy. The Club does all of that and more.
