A supplemental program for kindergarteners during the half-day they are not in school
Highly Qualified & Dedicated Staff
Our highly qualified and trained staff are dedicated to youth development. Our members benefit from caring, professional staff who give them guidance, encouragement, and the tools they need to grow into responsible, productive, and caring adults. Our KinderClub program focuses on the Club’s core values of respect, integrity, saftey, empathy, and resilience in its daily routine and lessons. Our program embodies the Club’s priority outcomes of healthy lifestyles, good character & citizenship, and academic success.
Activities & Curriculum
Our main objective is to have fun while improving the social, emotional, and academic skills kids need to succeed. We focus on math, literacy, and behavior while reinforcing and expanding on the kindergarten curriculum in a fun and engaging manner.
Calendar Time: We teach and reinforce learning days of the week, the months, how we say and write the date, and talk about the weather. This time is interactive, using a large calendar and a whiteboard.
Weekly Themes: Each week, the staff lead activities that correlate to something specific (e.g., thankfulness, bats, farm animals, etc.) and the members learn about that topic and do some projects to reinforce their learning.
Monthly Theme: Each month, we will focus on teaching our kids a Club rule or value (e.g., respect, responsibility, integrity). We teach kids the definition, and throughout the month staff will discuss ways to implement these rules and values in everyday activities and life.
Projects: Projects follow all theme week lessons and can include arts and crafts, games, science experiments and more.
Math/Literacy: Math and literacy lessons are implemented twice a week and are based on common kindergarten standards.
Center Time: About 40 minutes of non-directed free play where staff are watching the children’s social interactions and redirecting their behaviors or praising them for playing well with others, being kind, and helping them learn how to resolve peer conflict.
Story Time: Members will be read to and engaged in story related discussion for 15 minutes every day.
Field Trips: FREE of charge! We take at least one field trip each month to enhance your child’s social and academic development. Our field trips get the kids out in the community and provide them with new, enriching experiences.
Program & Club Hours
KinderClub AM: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Lunch: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (Meridian)
KinderClub PM: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
School Days: The KinderClub fee includes a general Boys & Girls Club membership as well as a Sunrise Club membership. Simply put, this means your child can be dropped off at the Club as early as 7:00 AM, and can stay as late as 8:00 PM Monday-Friday! If your child’s school is on our transportation list, we can bring them to and from school to the Club. Meals are included
No-School Days: On no-school days, your child has access to the Club from 7:00 AM-6:00 PM. We can provide lunch for your children on no-school days.
Registration & Fees
KinderClub costs just $60/week and runs from August-May while school is in session. Parents can register their members at our Parent Portal after attending a mandatory parent orientation. Email us to schedule your orientation:

Fun Fact: April is an alumna from the Mosely Center – woohoo!
Being a Club kid has given April a great perspective on what it means for the Club to be a home. April previously worked at the Nampa Boys & Girls Club, moved to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County, and has worked with Kindergarteners to keeping them learning and engaged. She plans on one day becoming a Unit Director and continuing to impact the lives of kids in our community.
The Meridian Club
The Meridian Club provides transportation to and from Meridian Elementary, and Chief Joseph Elementary.
For all other schools, transportation must be arranged by a guardian.
7:00 – Sunrise Club opens
8:00 – Breakfast and transportation to schools or bus stops.
